What is red light therapy?
Red light therapy is a safe and non-invasive treatment that uses low-level wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular function, promote healing, and support relaxation.
Our red light bed can offer various health benefits and has been found to be effective for pain management, skin health, and overall well-being.
How does it work?

When the light enters our body, it enters our cells.
Within those cells are mitochondria AKA the powerhouse of the cell.
The absorbed light helps the mitochondria produce greater quantities of energy called ATP (adenosine triphosphate).
All living cells rely on ATP's energy and by boosting these cells, we are allowing our cells to thrive and providing them with readily available energy for essential bodily functions like muscle contraction, nerve impulse propagation, and DNA synthesis.

Blue light therapy offers significant benefits for various skin concerns, primarily by killing acne-causing bacteria, reducing inflammation, and improving skin texture and appearance. It can also be used to address enlarged oil glands, sun damage, and precancerous skin growths.
The therapy works by activating chemicals in bacteria, which destroys them, and also promotes skin rejuvenation by stimulating collagen production.

What happens during a treatment?​
​
During your session, one of our staff will show you to a private room with a red light bed you will lie on. We recommend that you remove your clothes to allow your skin to soak up the maximum amount of light possible; however, this is entirely your choice. During your session, you will feel a mild warmth coming from the lights. We recommend that you do not look directly at the lights during the session. You may choose to wear your own sunglasses, or we will provide goggles for you to wear. Then it is time to close your eyes, relax, and enjoy your glow session.
Red light therapy is a relaxing treatment that takes up to 30 minutes. You may wish to start with a shorter treatment if it is your first time or if you have particularly sensitive skin.
You may also choose to have both red and blue light simultaneously or just red if you prefer.
How do I prepare for my session?​

The best way to prepare for a red light therapy session is to ensure that your skin is clean and free from barriers that potentially limit light penetration (such as makeup, heavy moisturisers, and sunscreen). We understand that makeup is sometimes unavoidable, so we have cleansing wipes available for use before your session. This will help maintain the efficacy of your treatment.
Who shouldn't use a red light bed?​​
​​​Please let us know if you are pregnant, as we will need to adjust the settings accordingly.
It is important to exercise caution if you:

How often can I use the Red Light Therapy Bed?​​

You can use red light therapy one to five times weekly for up to 30 minutes to see results. Often, clients report that they start to feel the benefits from their first session; however, it can vary from person to person.
