Normatec Compression Therapy

Normatec compression therapy is a revolutionary treatment designed to enhance recovery and improve performance. By using dynamic compression, it helps to reduce muscle, increase circulation, and accelerate the body's natural healing process. Ideal athletes and active individuals, Normatec therapy offers a relaxing and effective way to rejuven your muscles. Experience the benefits of enhanced recovery and get to your best self faster!

What is compression therapy?

NormaTec is a dynamic compression system that uses motorized air pressure to massage and mobilize fluid in the limbs — typically the legs, arms, or hips. The system includes specialized sleeves that wrap around the limb and inflate in a specific pattern to simulate muscle pumping and enhance circulation.

How does it work?

The device uses pulsing air chambers built into the sleeves to apply compression in a specific sequence:

  1. Pulse Massage
NormaTec inflates chambers in a wave-like progression from the far end of the limb toward the body (feet → calves → thighs). This pattern mimics the natural muscle pump that moves blood and lymph fluid.

  2. Sequential Compression
The system doesn’t just squeeze evenly — it compresses in stages that mirror how muscles naturally contract during movement.

  3. Gradient Pressure
Pressure is highest farther from the heart and decreases toward the torso, encouraging fluid to flow back more efficiently.

Imagine a “rolling massage” that moves fluid upward — that’s essentially what NormaTec does, but in a very controlled and programmable way.

What It’s Used For

NormaTec compression therapy may help with:

  • Enhanced circulation: boosts blood flow to tissues, which can speed nutrient delivery and waste removal.

  • Reduced muscle soreness: helps reduce the buildup of metabolic waste after training.

  • Decreased swelling and inflammation: can move excess fluid away from fatigued tissues.

  • Faster recovery: Many athletes incorporate NormaTec sessions after workouts or games.

  • Post-injury care: can be part of rehab to reduce swelling and maintain circulation.

Usage

  • Duration: Sessions often last 20–30 minutes; however, your appointment time is up to 60 minutes.

  • When: Used after workouts, between events, or during rest periods.

  • Areas treated: Legs, arms, or hips.
